1. In the Navigation Pane, click Settings, click Customization, and then click Customize Entities.
2. Before mapping attributes, publish customizations to entities that contain the source and target attributes you plan to map.
   • To publish customizations for the entity your are currently editing, on the Actions menu, select Publish.
   • To publish customizations for all entities at once, open the Customize Entities list. On the More Actions menu, click Publish All Customizations.
   • To publish customizations for specific entities at once, open the Customize Entities list and select the entities you want to publish. On the Actions toolbar, click Publish.
3. Open the entity you want to customize, and then under Details, click Relationships.
4. In the Type box, select Mappable.
5. Select a mappable relationship, then on the Actions toolbar, click More Actions, and then click Edit.
6. Under Details, click Mappings.
7. For each new mapping, on the Actions toolbar, click New.
8. In the Create attribute mapping dialog box, select the source attribute from Source Entity Attributes; select the target attribute from Target Entity Attributes; and then click OK.

   When you select attributes, consider the mapping requirements.

   • Both attributes must be of the same type and the same format.
   • The length of the target attribute must be equal to or greater than the length of the source attribute.
   • The target attribute cannot already be mapped to another attribute.
   • The source attribute must be visible on the form.
   • The target attribute must be a field a user can enter data into.
   • If the attributes are picklists, the integer values for each option should be identical.
   • Address ID values cannot be mapped.
9. Click Save and Close to close the Relationship form.
10. When your customizations are complete, publish your customizations:
    • To publish customizations for the entity your are currently editing, on the Actions menu, select Publish.
    • To publish customizations for all entities at once, open the Customize Entities list. On the More Actions menu, click Publish All Customizations.
    • To publish customizations for specific entities at once, open the Customize Entities list and select the entities you want to publish. On the Actions toolbar, click Publish.

Notes

• After publishing customizations, mappings will be available for all users. If you reset Internet Information Services for any reason before you publish customizations, mappings will be available for all users, even though other customizations will not be available.
• It is possible to automatically create mappings for the relationship but this is usually not recommended. This process will map any mappable attributes based only on the datatype and name of the attribute. All existing mappings are removed.
  1. In the Relationship form, on the Actions toolbar, click More Actions.
  2. Click Generate Mappings.
• You cannot map to or from an a field that is not displayed on a form.
