Import Data from Salesforce.com

Warning

The import data maps available with the Import Data Wizard are intended as samples. You must modify these samples to match your organization's needs before using them in a production environment. Using the sample data maps without modification could result in an incomplete import of your data.

You can import data from a customized or default implementation of Salesforce.com. Two data maps A file that contains information about how data from a source system corresponds to data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. are provided that map 16 non-customized Salesforce record types. If you have customized Salesforce.com data, you can start with the data map that comes with the Import Data Wizard and use it to perform any additional mapping.

To import data from Salesforce.com to Microsoft Dynamics CRM:

1. Export your Salesforce.com data as described in the Exporting Data from Salesforce.com section.
2. Complete the preparation steps listed in Preparation Tasks for Salesforce.com.
3. In the Import Data Wizard, click Browse to upload a file to import.
4. Review the list of files that you have uploaded.
5. In the Select Data Map wizard page, select the Salesforce Map for Report Export or Salesforce Map for Full-Data Export.
6. Follow the steps as specified in Import records from a file.
