Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online is an Internet-based, on-demand service with specific system requirements. It requires occasional maintenance during which time the service is not available.
System requirements
This section describes the system requirements to run Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.
Supported operating systems when you use Internet Explorer
The following operating systems are supported for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Web application:
- Windows 7 (all versions)
- Microsoft Windows Vista (all versions)
- Windows XP Professional SP3
- Windows XP Tablet PC Edition SP3
- Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Supported versions of Internet Explorer
In addition, the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Web application requires one of the following Microsoft Internet Explorer Web browser versions:
- Internet Explorer 10 (when available)
- Internet Explorer 9
- Internet Explorer 8
- Internet Explorer 7
Note
Microsoft Windows 2000 editions are not supported for installing and running the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Web application.
Important
All prerelease versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for Outlook and E-mail Router must be uninstalled before the current versions of these add-ins can be installed.
Supported web browser and operating system configurations that do not include Internet Explorer running on Windows
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online supports several commonly used web browsers. However, functionality might be unavailable for certain administrative and customization tasks when you use web browsers other thanMicrosoft Internet Explorer. Moreover, additional features are unavailable when you run Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online on an iPad.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM web browser support levels
Web browser support for Microsoft Dynamics CRM is divided into three levels.
Supported. All areas of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web application are supported for viewing, creating, deleting and updating.
Supported with limitations. Productivity features and functionality work, but there are several settings and customization areas that are disabled to these web browsers. For more information, see Microsoft Dynamics CRM features not available to web browsers that are supported with limitations.
Mobile Express only. By default, web browsers not listed in the web browser support table shown here are not fully tested with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and will use Microsoft Dynamics CRM Mobile Express mode when you run them. However, the user can choose to run the full Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web application from a link provided within Mobile Express.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for Outlook requirements
This section describes the system requirements to run Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for Microsoft Office Outlook.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for Microsoft Office Outlook can be installed on computers that have any combination of the following:
Windows operating systems:
- Windows 7 (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions)
- Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions)
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3
- Microsoft Windows XP Home SP3
Microsoft Office:

Scheduled maintenance
From time to time, the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online team performs maintenance on the service. During this time, you might not be able to access your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organization. To minimize the impact to your business, the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online team will make every effort to keep maintenance activities isolated to a scheduled maintenance window.
As Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online expands to additional data centers, we will continue to conduct scheduled maintenance during the evening or overnight hours for that data center’s local time, on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
We post notices for scheduled maintenance if it is expected to impact customers' use of the service, or has a strong likelihood that it will. We continue to make improvements in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online so that scheduled maintenance is less frequent.
