This document provides important, late-breaking information about Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Nonprofit Organizations and Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Wealth Management. You will also find information about known issues. Where possible, workarounds are provided for the known issues.

General Issues Applicable to Both Solutions

Sample data can only be installed by a System Administrator

Only users with the System Administrator security role in Microsoft Dynamics CRM can install sample data from the configuration page for the solution.

Installed sample data only visible to System Administrators

Only the System Administrator who installed the sample data from the solution configuration page can see the sample data in the visualizations on the dashboard, since that specific user owns the sample data records. To enable other users in your organization to see these records, share the records installed by the sample data.

Nonprofit Organization Solution Known Issues

Restricting deletion of collected or in-process donations

By default, Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Nonprofit Organizations doesn't restrict the deletion of donations that have already been collected or that are currently in-process. To prevent users in your organization from accidentally deleting collected or in-process donations, remove the Delete permission from all security roles except System Administrator.

Browser-based limitations on profile pictures for Constituent records

In Internet Explorer 8, the file size for pictures on Constituent records is limited to 32 KB. Pictures larger than this size will result in incomplete pictures appearing on the form, or no picture at all. For best results with the Nonprofit Organizations solution, upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 9.

Keyboard tab stops not supported for star ratings on Constituent forms

The star rating functionality on Constituent forms does not support tab stops from the keyboard. To apply a star rating to a Constituent record, usage of a pointing device such as a mouse is required.

Tracking a pledge or donation toward a campaign doesn't add the corresponding constituent to the campaign

When you create a Pledge or Donation record to track pledges or donations made as part of a campaign, the Nonprofit Organizations solution does not automatically add the Constituent record for the person who made the donation or pledge to the Campaign record. After creating the Pledge or Donation record, you must connect the Constituent record to the Campaign record manually.

Wealth Management Solution Known Issues

Sample data installation does not link some sample data records

By default, the Household records, Client records, and Legal Account records in the sample data are not automatically linked to each other (households to their clients and clients to their legal accounts). To enable the sample data to work as expected, the sample data records must be linked to each other manually.

To link sample data records to each other:

  1. Open the Households list.
    1. Open the "Cannata-Woods Household" record and add "Gabriele Cannata" and "John Woods" as members.
    2. Open the "Justice Household" record and add "Peggy Justice" as a member.
  2. Open the Clients list.
    1. Open the "Gabriele Cannata" record and add "Gabriele Cannata - Personal Account" and "Gabriele Cannata & John Woods - Joint Account" as Legal Accounts.
    2. Open the "John Woods" record and add "John Woods - Private Account" and "Gabriele Cannata & John Woods - Joint Account" as Legal Accounts.
    3. Open the "Peggy Justice" record and add "Peggy Justice - Personal Accounts" as a Legal Account.

Liabilities don't appear within legal accounts if no portfolios are attached

Portfolio and Liability records are linked under Legal Account records to show the current net worth of the client. However, if no portfolios exist under the legal accounts, the related Liability records will not show up on lists within the Legal Account record.

Wealth Management is not supported in offline mode with Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook

When you go offline with Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook, records and features from the Wealth Management solution are not available. You can only work with Wealth Management records when you are connected to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server.

Connections between clients without a connection role do not appear in the social graph

If a connection between two Client records is not defined by a connection role, that connection will not appear in the Client form's social graph.

Keyboard tab stops not supported for some sections in Client forms

When you use the Tab key on your keyboard to navigate between sections on the Client form, the Social Graph and Know Your Client sections are not accessible from the keyboard. To interact with these sections, usage of a pointing device such as a mouse is required.
